Jennifer Lavoro, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M., MSOM is a board licensed acupuncturist and herbalist (CA, FL) and is nationally certified by the NCCAOM in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at Dongguk University in Los Angeles, where she earned her Master’s of Science and graduated Summa Cum Laude, receiving the valedictorian award.
Her clinical experience includes her alma mater, Dongguk University clinic, Engemann Student Health Center at USC, working with chiropractic and bodywork professionals, community acupuncture, as well as private clients. Her clinical interests include pain management, stress and fatigue, anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, women’s health concerns, as well as encouraging internal balance, relaxation, and promoting immunity.
Jennifer resided in southern California for 13 years before making her way back to Florida in 2017. She became interested in pursuing her degree in Chinese Medicine after receiving beneficial acupuncture treatments for recurring pain resulting from a car accident. Although her many interests lie in creative pursuits, Jennifer has always recognized the detail-oriented, pragmatic part of herself which blends with the study of acupuncture well. The practice of acupuncture is not limited to itself, but rather embodies an entire holistic lifestyle. Jennifer enjoys the balance of practicality and self-expression that occurs when interacting with anyone interested in benefiting their health. The results are inspiring and are what keeps her interested and focused in sharing this medicine that spans depth and time.
Jennifer has now made her home in Northeast Florida with her husband, 15-month-old son, and their dog Penny (who also made the long trek from California to Florida).
